<div>The Duo “Just the 2 of Us”, is comprised of David Parrillo and Jane Griggs.  David has played with the RIC Symphony, the RI Philharmonic, the RI College Chamber Orchestra, the Warwick Symphony, The Ocean State Summer Pops and many other local groups. He plays cello and jazz guitar.   Jane Briggs is a vocalist fairly new to the live music scene, and has sung at several local venues as well as performing with several local jazz musicians.</div>

<p><strong>6:00 p.m. </strong>Town tree lighting and visit from Santa in Updike Park sponsored by N.K. Chamber of Commerce kicks off a weekend of festivities and a season of wonder. The <strong>North Kingstown Community Youth Chorus </strong>and <strong>The Lafayette Band </strong>perform.</p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 29</span></strong></p>
<p><strong>5:30 p.m.</strong> <strong>Santa</strong> arrives to the Town Dock aboard The Sea Princess led by kayaks from the Kayak Centre.</p>
<p><strong>6:00-7:30 p.m.</strong> Ongoing <strong>live Nativity </strong>at St. Paul’s Church on Main St. performed by the Youth Groups.</p>
<p><strong>6:00-8:00 p.m. </strong><strong>Hayrides with Santa</strong> around the Village originating in the parking lot by the Town Dock ($3 per person).</p>
<p><strong>6:30-7:15 p.m.</strong> The <strong>North Kingstown Community Chorus</strong> carols inUpdikePark.</p>
<p><strong>7:15-8:15 p.m.</strong><strong>  The Lafayette Band </strong>performs their “Holiday Concert” atFirstBaptistChurch onMain St.</p>
<p><strong>Throughout the Evening</strong>… Various musical entertainment about the Village including <strong>Ye Olde English Carolers</strong>.</p>

<p><strong>12:00 p.m. Join the Elf Parade!  </strong>Elves of all ages… come dressed in your elfiest costumes and march from The Wickford Collection to the Town Dock to greet Santa!</p>
<p><strong>12:30 p.m. </strong><strong>Santa</strong> arrives at the Town Dock aboard the Sea Princess escorted by kayaks.</p>
<p><strong>1:00-4:00 p.m.</strong> <strong>Hayrides with Santa</strong> throughout the village originating in the parking lot by the Town Dock ($3 per person.) <strong>The Parallel String Band</strong> performs their lively string band versions of holiday music and <strong>Ye Olde English Carolers </strong>stroll about the Village.</p>
<p><strong>12:30 p.m. </strong> <strong>Ice Sculptor </strong>carves 2 ice sculptures in a live demonstration at Updike Park on the corner of Brown Street and West Main Street.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Halloween is coming and, once again, the merchants of Wickford, Histwick, the North Kingstown Arts Council and St. Paul&#8217;s Church have come together to create &#8220;Wicked Week in Wickford&#8221;.</p>
<p>Check out our special spooky events this Halloween:<br />
- Judging of Scarecrows for Scarecrow Competition – Saturday Oct. 20 around the Village<br />
- Haunted House – St. Paul’s Parish House – Sunday Oct. 28, 6:30-9pm<br />
- Horrible’s Parade (Children’s costume parade) – Starts at St. Paul’s Church, Sunday Oct. 28, 12 noon followed by storytelling by Maria Day Hyde and candy for all children.<br />
- Trick or Treating at participating merchants – Sunday, Oct. 28 merchants  on Brown, Main and West Main Streets will hand out candy following the storytellers<br />
- Trick or Treating Wednesday Oct. 31 from 4-6pm at participating stores.</p>
