The 17th century era of the Cocumscussoc trading posts of Richard Smith and Roger Williams is recalled. Re-enactors and sutlers from around the region lend an air of authenticity to the festivities. Presented in collaboration with the Roger Williams National Memorial.

Looking for an egg hunt this weekend? Well, you’re in luck: there are two this Saturday  – both in North Kingstown. Head over to Casey Farm for its sixth annual Easter egg hunt from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. (Register by calling 401-295-1030 or online here.) At noon, the North Kingstown Recreation Department hosts an egg hunt at Wilson Park, complete with a magic show!

Wickford will host it’s monthly Bluegrass Jam on Saturday, May 12 from 2-5pm.  This year-round jam will move outside this week for the summer.  It will be held at Updike Park at the corner of Brown and Main Streets.  The jam has been ongoing since 2008 and is open to all ages and skill levels.  Just bring an instrument and seat or blanket.  In the case of inclement weather the jam will be held inside Wilson’s of Wickford.

The Shops at Wilson’s(Wilson’s of Wickford, Scrimshanders and Radiance by Leslie) are hosting a Bird Event, Sunday, June 24.  Horizen Wings, a raptor rescue group from CT will be coming down to give an hour presentation with 4 live birds at 1pm.  They  are also hosting a store wide art show of all varieties of birds in many media.
